FAQ

Do you groom cats?
No, we do not at this time!
Cats are more dangerous to groom compared to dogs, both for your kitty and the groomer. We do not currently have a groomer trained to handle them. Please do your research with finding well-trained cat groomer!

How often do I need to get my pet groomed?
Many factors influence this, such as breed, coat length, and lifestyle. On average, most pets should be groomed every 4-6 weeks. We will make customized recommendations once we meet your pet.
-
Do I need to provide anything for the groomer?
Our top of the line unit is regularly equipped with everything needed to groom your pet! We just need a place to park, so a relatively level surface that is 22’ long is the only requirement.
-
How long does grooming take?
That depends on many factors, but on average services take 1-3 hours.
-
Do I need to be present for the duration of the groom?
In most cases, no. You are not required to stay on premises for the duration of the groom unless we discuss otherwise. Some cases may require you to be there, such as an extreme health concern where an emergency may be more likely.
You must be home for pickup and drop off of the dog unless latchkey service has been arranged.
-
Do you groom doodles?
Yes! We love or doodle clients. However, there may be booking requirements if you are wanting to maintain a longer coat.
-
Do you take matted dogs?
Yes! Upon drop off, we examine your pet’s coat and discuss options based on the placement and severity of the matting. If anything changes through the course of the groom, we will contact you before doing something not discussed.
We practice “humanity over vanity”. This means we will not put your pet through undue stress and pain to brush out matting. If it can be done safely, will do that. If not, we will shave the dog (ALWAYS with the owner’s consent).
There is a higher cost associated with any matting, whether it is being shaved off or brushed out. Removing matting in any way is harder on the groomer and the equipment and takes more time than a well-maintained coat.
-
Can my pet be groomed if they have been dismissed elsewhere?
Yes!
Mobile grooming is a very different environment from salons ad every groomer is different. I have had a lot of success with dogs that struggle elsewhere, so we will always try to give it at least one try.
If there appears to be any safety risk for the pet or groomers, we will discuss next steps at that time.
